The Bathroom is one of the most perfectly suited spots in the home for enjoying some much needed alone time.

Designing the perfect bathroom for relaxing in is not as difficult as you think.

First of all, let's get the practical stuff out the way and then we can start working on the imagination.

You need to measure the size of your bathroom and take into account the shape of you space you are working with.

It will help you to determine the right design and best bathroom furniture to select. Next, apply neutral colours for painting your walls, such as white, brown, soft yellow and / or even black if you're into that minimalist design. 

If neutral is not your scene then you can also play with more bright colours to create a fresh bathroom design.

Following that, try to arrange the bathroom furniture to best suit the bathroom area. Try to choose a bathtub with hydro-massage or whirlpool system and a shower with rainwater technology; it will provide for the finest relaxing bath time and shower experience known to mortal man.

Decorative elements and bathroom accessories like mirrors, pictures, flower vase and paintings are always a good touch and will bring your bathroom to life.

Providing you can get away with not having to cut a large hole in your upstairs neighbour's floor, a large window or skylight can be extremely beneficial for allowing natural sunlight to fill in the interior.

For a touch of glam, my personal favourite, install a tasteful chandelier above the bathtub.
