The Island of Cyprus is often described as a stepping stone into Europe, Asia and Africa as a result of it's location to the north east of the Mediterranean. Surrounding Cyprus you have Turkey to the North, Syria and Jordan to the East and Egypt to the South.

 
Paralimni

Paralimni is a town situated in the south east of Cyprus within the Famagusta district. Although not on the coast itself, the town is situated close to some of the best sandy beaches on the east coast of the island. The town began to grow considerably in 1974 when large numbers of Greek Cypriots left Famagusta and came south over the new border created by partition.
